Who Made Who

Project Description

Who Made Who is a compilation of drawings and mechanical sculptures that explore a mythos of man's relationship to the machine, past and present. The drawings represent a visual allegory of  discovering one's origins and highlighting the complexity and mystery that something is begun, produced, sparking a quest to understand the origins and resulting identity. Like futuristic cave drawings, the lines are etched with mechanical precision into glass.

The sculptures pulsate, responding to the viewers presence with a building intensity of light, shadow and a hum of movement that transfix the viewer. Each sculpture emits an otherworldly presence engineered with parts whose soft curves and polished surface suggest the fine crafted elegance of clockwork and a highly engineered intelligent machine. Who Made Who reflects a quiet question that has been in existence since the beginning evolution of man, technology and the machine.
